Aladdin retractable awnings give Connecticut homeowners a deck or patio they can use in hot sun and in rain, custom made for the house and installed by a local company. If you have an outdoor space that you do not get to enjoy as often as you would like, here are five reasons an awning from Aladdin is worth considering.
1. Use Your Deck or Patio Whenever You Want
With an uncovered outdoor area, you are at the mercy of the weather. A deck in direct sunlight can become unbearably hot in summer. A rainstorm in the forecast, or even the threat of one, can be enough to make you cancel a cookout or move everyone inside.
A retractable awning takes both problems off the table. Extend it and you have shade right away. If it starts to rain, the awning covers your seating area and keeps guests, furniture and food dry. When the weather is mild, roll it back and enjoy the open sky.
The result is simply more time outside: more meals on the patio, more evenings with family and friends, and more quiet mornings to yourself.
2. Keep the Inside of Your Home Cooler
Most people know an awning shades the patio. Fewer realize that it also helps indoors. The shade reduces the amount of sunlight that enters the house through nearby windows and glass doors, which helps keep those rooms from heating up.
Less direct sun also means less UV exposure for furniture, flooring and artwork, which can fade over time.
3. Get an Awning Designed for Your House
Custom sizing
Aladdin installs custom awnings made to fit each customer’s home. We measure the area around your deck or patio and design an awning that provides the coverage you need. Custom awnings can be made up to 40 feet wide, with projections up to 23 feet.
Fabric that suits your home
A retractable awning can also improve curb appeal. Aladdin offers more than 100 fabric options in solid colors and patterns. You can match the color of your siding or trim, or choose a contrasting shade that makes the house stand out in the neighborhood.
A comfortable, good-looking outdoor space is also something buyers notice if you decide to sell your home one day.
4. Choose Hand-Crank or Motorized Operation
We offer both hand-crank and motorized retractable awnings. A hand-crank awning is simple to operate, but it can be challenging for homeowners with limited mobility.
Many of our customers prefer the convenience of a motorized awning that extends and retracts with the press of a button. It opens in seconds, so you can get back to preparing for guests or just sit down and relax.
5. Work With an Experienced Sunesta Dealer
Aladdin retractable awnings are made by Sunesta, a company recognized as a pioneer in the industry. Sunesta awnings come with a lifetime warranty, and Aladdin is the area’s original Sunesta dealer.
Installation matters as much as the product. Our own team handles the measuring, design and installation, and we have been serving Connecticut homeowners since 1949. You can see finished projects in our gallery and read what customers say on our testimonials page.
